Dr. Long was born and raised in Ridgewood and graduated from Ridgewood High School.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience from Lafayette College, graduating magna cum laude.  She then earned her doctorate of medicine at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, where was awarded membership in Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society.  While in medical school, she met her husband and they moved to New Haven, CT to complete their residencies at Yale-New Haven Hospital.   Following residency, she worked at the St. Raphael's Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital, where she served as associate director of the newborn nursery and medical director of the pediatric primary care center. She was also an assistant clinical professor of general pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine.  In 2014, she moved back to Ridgewood with her family and worked at a large pediatric practice before joining Ridgewood Medical Associates in 2022.
